After Elder Etienne’s passing, Evangelist Phylis Davis was appointed interim Asst. Pastor.  Also, in 1996, Lord gave Bishop a vision to renovate the sanctuary and around that time the house next door to the church became available. Bishop and the membership decided to purchase it and make it the church Annex. The vision included turning the church that had a sanctuary, two bathrooms and an office into the sanctuary and the Annex would house the bathrooms, the office and a fellowship hall and kitchen.  Bishop labored hard and long going back and forth from Smithfield to work on the church.  The church family assisted by removing debris and cleaning the sites. In September of 1997, the church was reopened and rededicated for worship.  Bishop instituted a new leadership structure which included having Evangelist Davis as  1st Administrative Assistant, Ministers Derrick & Darrell Etienne as the 2nd Administrative Assistants and Minister Vincent Harris as 3rd Administrative Assistant.  Cathedral #1 and #2 were joined as one church in two locations. First Sunday, service was in Smithfield and Third Sunday, service was in Richmond.  In August 2000, all three Ministers became Ordained Elders and in August of 2001 Evangelist Phylis Davis became an Ordained Elder. In 2002, Elders Derrick & Darrell Etienne were led by God to start Latter Glory Church in Paterson, NJ.  This caused another restructure in the ministry, Elder Davis remained 1st Administrative Assistant and Elder Harris became 2nd Administrative Assistant.  The ministry had its high and low peaks in membership, but which ever state it was in, sincere praise and worship always went up to God.  The devil wanted the doors closed, but what God ordains stands in spite of what it looks like. In March 2004, the word of the Lord came to Elder Harris at the 28th UHCOL National Fellowship Convention that the time was coming for him to walk in his destiny as a Pastor.
